Looking for a Change Maker
Composite Resources is on the hunt for a passionate Paint Prep Technician to support our expanding operations. The role involves preparing parts for painting through various tasks like cleaning, masking, and more.
**Dive into Daily Operations**
- Adhere to process guidelines aiming to reduce rework or scrap.
- Ensure parts are prepared thoroughly by cleaning and removing contaminants.
- Expertly mask parts per pre-paint specifications.
- Carefully strip masking post-painting.
- Ensure the safe transit of parts via manual and supported means through operational zones.
- Log essential records in line with QC standards.
- Notify supervisors of any malfunctioning equipment.
- Maintain and responsibly use provided tools.
- Gain versatility by assisting in different departments when needed.
- Perform equipment maintenance as outlined.
- Operate various departmental machinery as necessary.
- Commit to learning advanced paint application following paint prep expertise.
- Traverse through adaptive work schedules and processes to align with production targets.
- Cooperate with senior staff for knowledge sharing and practical skills enhancement.
- Keep compliance in safety, environmental, and departmental regulations.
**Essential Qualities and Experience**
- Preferred skills in autobody/automotive or industrial paint preparation, including masking, paint mixing, bondo, and priming.
- Experience with paint-spraying tools and pneumatic sanding.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
- Organized, detail-oriented, proficient at troubleshooting, and adept in fast-moving environments.
- Collaborative mindset, adept at engaging with multiple departments.
