Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience in aerospace manufacturing. As Quality Engineer 2, you will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
What you get to do!
- Ensures compliance to all relevant quality standards and customer requirements
- Creates quality documentation, including but not limited to inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions
- Develops and maintains relationships with key customer quality representatives, including participation in customer audits
- Participates in and/or lead material review board meetings as a signatory authority
- Performs root cause analysis and coordinates implementation of effective corrective actions
- Works with cross functional team to build quality into processes, including responsibility for First Article and PPAP reports
- Perpetuates organizational risk-based thinking through execution of FMEA process
- Reviews and summarizes purchase orders and contracts as they pertain to quality requirements
What you will bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 4-8 years of working as a Quality and/or Process Engineer in a regulated manufacturing industry (e.g. AS9100D)
- Nadcap experience strongly preferred
- Ability to interpret and communicate government and/or customer regulations
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control
- Knowledge of inspection and measurement tools such as CMM and articulated arms preferred
- Composite manufacturing process experience preferred
