Join our growing property management team in Farmville, VA! We manage 300 residential and commercial units and are expanding rapidly. We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to help keep our properties in excellent condition. If you have experience in property maintenance and enjoy working on a variety of tasks, we’d love to hear from you! While we are advertising this as a seasonal position currently, our rapid growth may require it to be year-round.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks, including painting, power washing, and minor carpentry.
- Handle landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, and seasonal clean-up.
- Conduct routine inspections of properties and report/perform necessary repairs.
- Perform unit cleanouts and prepare rental units for new tenants.
- Remove flooring materials such as carpet, tile, and laminate. Assist in installation of new flooring.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
- Ensure properties meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and company tools.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance, handyman work, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work is a plus.
- Experience with flooring installation and removal is a plus.
- Ability to operate landscaping and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
