The Senior Director, Data Management will design and implement data models, data architectures, data warehouses, data marts, reporting solutions and ETLs for the Business Intelligence team in order to facilitate a high level of data and information utilization within the organization. This role will also be responsible for creating, documenting and implementing data governance policies and procedures. Working with the Sr. Director, incumbent will help develop and implement enterprise wide business intelligence strategy, governance, and data architecture that meets and exceeds current and future organizational needs. Incumbent will work closely with organizational stakeholders to help define and implement solutions that result in a standardized and robustdata and information storage and reporting environment.

- Manage the development of the organization’s data management architecture and strategy
- Manage the ongoing development and operations of a business intelligence architecture that enables fact-based decision making, ad-hoc analysis, and insight generation in alignment with organizational objectives
- Work with Project Managers and directly with organizational stakeholders to define project scope and plans to achieve data and information management objectives
- Directly manage a team of BI/DW development professionals by organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
- Identify areas to improve information efficiency and effectiveness at all levels from collection to analysis
- Create standards and governance for data and information collection, storage, and reporting; Provide recommendations and tools to facilitate the necessary business process changes to support standards and policies
- Develop and maintain policies, best practices, procedures and guidelines necessary to effectively administer a data warehouse and business intelligence solution
- Work directly with various vendor partners leveraging external expertise and solutions while maintaining focus on organizational data strategy goals and objectives
- Improve and streamline processes of data flows and data quality to improve accuracy, viability, and value
- Collaborate with departments and end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery; Communicate complex concepts and solutions to achieve stakeholder consensus regarding proposed technical solutions and business process changes
- Evaluate new technology and techniques to implement, maintain and improve the BI and database environment
- Other duties as assigned

- A bachelor’s degree is required
- Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience working with complex database systems, business intelligence tools, and related systems including data warehouses, data acquisition processes, and data structures to support reporting and analysis.
- Must have 2 - 4 years managerial experience
- Must possess a strong analytical acumen and a passionate curiosity for data
- Core knowledge of Microsoft BI technologies, including PowerBI, SharePoint, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS is required
- Experience with Azure SQL as a Service, SQL Data Warehouse and Data Factor is preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills as well as a successful track record of working with executives and cross-functional teams is required
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, proactive, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and committed to meeting deadlines and creating and improving processes
- Must be able to function as an effective team leader
- Must possess demonstrated skills in analyzing enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence systems, including the integration of data from various sources
- Demonstrated knowledge of BI analytical reporting tools including data discovery solutions or similar dashboard and scorecard reporting of real-time data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
- Must possess the ability to work with minimal supervision
