What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Engineer, Software Test position at RE/MAX Holdings, Inc.?
Scope:
This role will be instrumental in developing innovative solutions for today’s real estate consumer. The position will focus on working closely with software engineers and product managers to validate that all services are operating as designed, meeting business, functional and non-functional requirements prior to release. Additionally, you will triage and debug difficult problems, driving them to resolution to ensure RE/MAX customers have a great experience. Also, your responsibilities will include defining test coverage, developing test plans, creating and maintaining test cases, executing functional and performance tests, evaluating and reporting quality of existing technologies and new features, developing and maintaining test tools, and implementing test automation.
Essential Duties:
- Plan and lead all quality assurance and system testing activities, which may include system integration testing, load testing, smoke testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and operational readiness
- Investigating, logging, and escalating as appropriate the defects identified during testing
- Develop automated testing suites
- Work with developers to ensure adherence to best practices
- Define MVP test scope in Agile ceremonies
- Support our APIs, microservices and data pipelines
- Collaborating with, and mentoring other Software Test Engineers on the continual improvement of our testing methods and strategies
- Actively work to build and maintain a positive team culture
- Find creative solutions, work diligently, and address changes with confidence
- Maintain a prioritized list of defects and advocating for their resolution
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 years experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional/technical testing, regression testing, and designing test architecture
- 3 years of Automated testing using various frameworks
Experience with working in a Agile environment and CI/CD driven testing culture - Experience programming in Go or NodeJS for writing automated tests
- Strong documentation and communication skills (creating and socializing
standards) - CI/CD using GitLab (Github)
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Familiar with Postman/Newman
- Writing End to End tests with Cypress/Selenium/Appium
- Performance testing knowledge & experience
- Ability to jump right in with little to no hand holding
- Team-focused, Self-directed, Flexible
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time-management skills
Formal Education and Certifications:
- Minimum 4 Year degree from an accredited University or equivalent work experience in Information Technology
- Software Quality Assurance Certification(s) required.
- ITIL Certification Preferred, but not required

Hire Range/Rate:
$88,200 - $114,600
Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
