Job Description
RESPEC seeks a dynamic and energetic Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our full-service engineering team! You will be designing various types of projects in our Soldotna, Alaska office for public and private sector clients. This is a hands-on engineering design position in RESPEC’s Transporation Market Sector and will include working on variety of multidiscipline design and construction projects. This is a great career opportunity for a dynamic, energetic individual looking to grow in their profession while gaining valuable experience on a wide variety of projects performed across Alaska.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within one year
- Autodesk AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency
- Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams
- Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Additional Preferred Experience/Skills
- Experience in construction
- Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating is a plus
- Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site and roadway improvement projects

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
