Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute internal client vision
- Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand the assignment, audience, and intended message
- Create original visual designs that communicate the desired intentions in a visually appealing, creative, and unified way
- Consult with team members as needed and revise projects when necessary, based on feedback
- Coordinate all production requirements and provide final approval notification
- Design and detail
- Design and select graphics, fonts, and photography as needed
- Produce samples of layouts for approval by appropriate staff
- Design graphics and page layouts to be presented by visual communications media such as magazines, newspapers, websites, social media, PowerPoint, and proposal documents
- Review the final layout and suggest improvements as needed
- Collaboration and management
- Schedule, host, and attend kickoff meetings to identify the team, deliverables, and timelines
- Be a brand advocate for our marketing, proposal, and communication teams
- Manage corporate brand guide and templates
- Guide the design team in corporate branding and identity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or master’s degree)
- Strong background in graphic design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in overseeing and managing graphic designs, document development, and digital asset management systems
- Interest in learning the newest trends in design and marketing tactics
- Ability to:
- Transform technical language for lay audiences
- Reprioritize efforts to meet dynamic workload
- Interact with staff, remotely and in person, to complete tasks
- Work under pressure, make sound decisions, and exercise good judgment
- Complete tasks individually or on a team
- Lead meetings
- Detail-oriented with emphasis on quality and accuracy
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- Knowledge of or experience in the architecture/engineering (A/E) industry is preferred
Additional Information
Compensation: Hourly wage depends on education and experience, plus statutory insurance requirements.
