Job Description
This internship involves all aspects of residential and commercial land-development design and offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in land-use planning, site design, and infrastructure development. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in pursuing a career in land development or related fields. Additional responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation of engineering studies and reports
- Participate in a variety of technical civil engineering work involving both field and office support of engineering projects
- Perform technical engineering work in assigned areas of responsibility which may include word processing, data entry, CAD and/or GIS exhibits, and design construction drawings.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Engineering student in civil, environmental, or a related science field with interest in Land Development
- Experience of coursework in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, ICPR, and GIS
- Experience of coursework in hydrology and hydraulic design
- Ability of doing field work and site visits.
Additional Information
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $20 to $25 per hour.
