Essential Functions:

Responsible for driving the various teams, both internal and external, to deliver Rea based products and services to the market. This includes product specification, project tracking, and executing against the project plan, proactively mitigating risk, and managing the development of the product lifecycle from inception to production launch and postproduction support. Role objectives include: strategizing, implementing, and maintaining program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives; developing program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement; maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance; overseeing multiple project teams and ensuring program goals are reached; and managing budget and funding channels for maximum productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with business and customer stakeholders to define product objectives and requirements. Prioritizes requirements and defines scope to meet needs in a timely manner given available resources.
  • Develops, maintains, and distributes (as appropriate) standard project management deliverables for the successful launch of new products and services, including plan, project schedule, project budget and variances, issues an action items log, meeting minutes, risk assessment and contingencies. Works closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
  • Leads vendor selection process (including RFP’s and Pricing) and manages against deliverables (including SOW’s, change management, approval of deliverables). Identifies key requirements needed from cross functional teams and external vendors.
  • Partners with internal and external development teams to deliver on time and with the quality required. Drives ownership for issue resolution.
  • Creates and maintains scorecards to track vendor and partner performance.
  • Works with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
  • Works cross functionally with engineering, quality, operations, and IT to ensure all customer requirements are met.
  • Tracks and reports on demand signals from customers and production performance from operations to ensure supply is well aligned with customer demand.
  • Lead communication with customers and ensures continues communication with internal stakeholders.

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and may be exposed to chemical, non-toxic fumes or dust. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Work Environment: Incumbent will occasionally be exposed to Cold Temperatures <55 degrees and Heat >100 degrees. The environment is well lit; the noise level is often minimal, but incumbent may be exposed to higher than 85 decibels on occasion.

Performance Standards:

  • Annual performance appraisal
  • Attainment of annual goals established between supervisor and incumbent

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or related field
  • 5 years in an advanced management role (preference given to those with program management experience)
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of project management
  • Working knowledge of APQP
  • Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Program Management)
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • IATF 16949 experience

Qualifications Desired:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Magnet wire experience with continuous improvement focus
  • Automotive Industry experience preferred
