Join Our Team as a Supply Chain Intern
Please note: This is an on-site position in Fort Wayne, Indiana; remote work is not available. The start date is no later than February 24, 2025.
Duration: 6 months to 1 year.

Position Overview: The Supply Chain Intern supports the Supply Chain team with projects focused on optimizing safety stock levels, demand forecasting, packaging material management, and risk mitigation strategies. This role involves analyzing data, contributing to process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain planning processes.
Key Deliverables:
- Safety Stock Process
- Analyze system data and variations with internal experts.
- Develop and standardize safety stock models and processes by product type.
- Ensure scalability, train planning teams, and publish resources for continued use.
- Forecast Analytics Model
- Analyze forecast accuracy and identify major variances.
- Standardize tools for demand-forecast analysis by product type.
- Train teams and publish resources for ongoing application.
- MRP for Packaging
- Update and analyze packaging usage data (e.g., spools).
- Establish processes to report and manage packaging needs.
- Train teams on MRP tools and publish supporting resources.
- Supply Chain Risk Management
- Develop a framework to identify, track, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Collect input from leaders on risk factors and mitigation strategies.
- Train leadership and provide resources for risk management processes.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical capability.
- Knowledge of statistics and ability to use and/or develop statistical models.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take a concept, develop a plan of action, and work with business partners to execute.
Preferred:
- Basic knowledge, through study or experience, of production/operations and production planning.
- Basic knowledge, through study or experience, of inventory management and/or supply chain management approaches.
