Bilingual Outreach advocate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Bilingual Outreach Advocate to join our team. This role is essential in connecting with diverse communities, providing education, and advocating for domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking and stalking victims. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and another language, possess strong communication skills, and have a background in social work or related fields. This position involves engaging with community members, attending community meetings and outreach events, and providing support to victims.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage diverse populations effectively.
• Educate community members about available resources and services related to domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, stalking, and child abuse.
• Identifying barriers that underserved populations experience when accessing services.
• Conduct data collection and analysis to assess community needs and program effectiveness.
• Organize and facilitate public speaking events to raise awareness about our initiatives.
• Utilize social media platforms for outreach efforts, promoting events and resources effectively.
• Collaborate with local organizations to enhance outreach efforts and build partnerships.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and report on progress as needed.

Skills

• Excellent public speaking abilities to engage various audiences effectively.
• Familiarity with social media management for outreach purposes.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Bilingual proficiency is required; fluency in Spanish or another language is highly desirable.
• Administrative skills to maintain records and manage outreach documentation efficiently.

Qualifications

• Live within 30 minutes of Manchester
• Ability to particpate in on call rotation
• Strong background in social work or related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills for public speaking and outreach
• Ability to effectively manage social media platforms
• Familiarity with outreach programs and community engagement
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
