Summary
The Transportation Specialist is responsible for an array of areas that provide a safe and nurturing environment for enrolled children.
Duties
They primarily transport enrolled children and parents enrolled and promptly to program sites, family engagement events, and medical appointments included through Head Start / Early Head Start. They also deliver food and other program supplies to Reach Dane sites around Dane and Green County. Program support includes varying tasks such as light maintenance needs and assisting in the classroom. Through this, they are an integral part of the child's educational process, portraying a positive role model for children, parents, and the public.
Requirements
A high school diploma or GED
A valid Wisconsin driver's license
An excellent driving record for the past 5 years and less than 7 points on driving abstract
To successfully meet insurance underwriter's driving record requirements
Possess a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with Passenger (P) and School bus (S) endorsements
The ability to lift 50 pounds
Successfully pass drug tests as mandated by federal law
