Job description
Reach for the Stars is a 12-month private not-for-profit school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is seeking a full or part time, Occupational Therapist to begin immediately.
Professional Requirements:
- Masters degree in occupational therapy
- Current New York State occupational therapy license required
General Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage small caseload
- Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services
- Organize and adapt programs to meet student skill level
- Conduct, score, and analyze assessments
- Create, score and update OT IEP goals
- Complete annual progress reports and evaluation reports
- Daily documentation notes of individual and group occupational therapy sessions
- Actively participate in OT Dept meetings and individual supervision time
- Collaborate with team members and participate in weekly team meetings
- Recommend and implement appropriate therapeutic programs and interventions
- Train, assist and provide OT in-service to classroom staff on therapeutic programs
- Provide weekly progress updates to parents
- Prepare for and participate in IEP meetings for students on caseload
