In this role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation—owning multiple design projects from concept to manufacturing handoff.
This is an on-site role in Waterloo, Iowa - will provide relo assistance to Iowa based candidates who are outside of a commutable distance to Waterloo.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead 3 to 7 design projects simultaneously, each at different stages of development.
- Use advanced CAD tools to create and refine product designs.
- Tackle complex problems with smart, practical solutions.
- Ensure all designs meet engineering principles, internal standards, and external regulations.
- Oversee technical development—scheduling, testing, and resolving design challenges.
- Deliver detailed reports, drawings, and models to track project progress.
- Document the entire design and development process to support ISO Quality compliance.
- Review technical documents and data to ensure precision and accuracy.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in design engineering and new product development.
- A solid background in designing and building motion applications is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills—listening, writing, and speaking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems.
- A calm, focused approach to working under tight deadlines and budget constraints.
- Bonus points for any electrical knowledge or training!
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
