Helicopter Pilot - SPIFR at REACH Medical Holdings
The Helicopter Pilot (SPIFR) at REACH Air Medical Services plays a vital role in providing high-quality air medical transport services in a safe and efficient manner. This position entails maintaining aircraft readiness, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and collaborating effectively with ground operations and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain aircraft readiness for flight dispatches, including cleanliness duties, flight crew requirements, duty shift change forms, load manifests, and duty/time sheets within scheduled due dates.
- Ensure dissemination of pertinent information about flight operations to shift change pilots and/or the Company Communications Board per policy.
- Attend meetings when required, participate in training and check-flights outside of normal duty shift rotation, and uphold current company policies and procedures.
- Be knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs, comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff, and conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
- Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors, and team members.
Requirements:
- Total time: 2000 hours (helicopter)
- PIC (helicopter): ~1000 hours
- Cumulative night experience: ~500 hours
- Commercial Instrument Helicopter Rating
- Current Class II Medical Certificate
- Able to lift 75 lbs floor to bench height
- Able to hear routine aircraft noises
- Duty weight (body weight uniform/equipment – helmet not included) less than 230lbs for Rotor Wing (Helicopter) operations
- Close and distant visual capability (Class 2 Aviation Medical)
- Periodic hands to key ability (typing)
