The Finance and Development Manager will be responsible for the daily financial and fundraising needs of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist Executive Director with grant preparation and reporting
· Produce monthly financial reports for Board of Directors meetings
· Maintain fiscal and grant files
· Enter deposits and basic bookkeeping into QuickBooks
· Process operational invoices and funding requests
· Compose and send thank you letters for donations received
· Grant reconciliations
· Bank reconciliations
· Manage donor database
· Prepare annual budget
· Assist with preparation for annual financial audit
· Spearhead 2 annual fundraising events
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years administrative and bookkeeping experience
- Experience in financial management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- An understanding of and respect for the diversity within a community
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in a personable and professional manner
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative and ability to accept new challenges and assignments
- Ability to work well with others
- Experience/comfort working near homeless and mentally ill populations
