We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor. Provides day to day supervision of one or more general accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable or payroll. Ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Researches and resolves related problems.
Essential Functions
• Prepare and analyze financial data and provide forecasting & budgeting support for existing grants/contracts and proposals
• Review and/or prepare monthly reports and projections based on financial data including key metrics and financial results.
• Responsible for supporting Program Directors with contractual and financial requirements.
• Maintain knowledge and keep updated on GAAP and Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG).
• Review transactional data against budgets and contractual requirements to ensure allowability and proper allocation of costs.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline financial and informational reporting.
• Respond to inquiries from funders and donors.
• May act as liaison with funder auditors and independent third-party auditors to coordinate audit schedules and help auditors with fiscal audits.
• Review timekeeping entries for biweekly payroll processing
• Process bi-weekly payroll
• Process electronic payroll files for entry to general ledger
• Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of all personnel/payroll information
• Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of all Agency funder & partner information, and other information as deemed appropriate.
• Assists in the creation and further development of the financial operating procedures and other documents as needed
• Provide support for agency programs and activities on an as needed basis.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.

Educational Requirements
• Required: Bachelor's degree (B.S) in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Accounting with at least 4 years of experience or Associates Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting with at least 2 years of experience.
Experience
• Preferred: 3 years of Financial experience in a non-profit environment.
• Required: Experience in reporting and analyzing data.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience working with Quickbooks, specifically Quickbooks Online.
Licenses and Certifications
• Valid California Driver’s License or I.D. is required
• Maintain active auto insurance.
