Administrative generalist position in a Head Start Organization whose area of concentration will include but are not limited to Personnel records management and Staff Professional Development Training Coordination and Follow-up.
Duties
Perform general administrative tasks related to HR:
- Prepare and maintain personnel files
- Create Yearly training for staff utilizing Bright From the Start and Head Start guidelines
- Perform recruitment tasks that include placing job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting interviews with applicable content area staff.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation, Prepare and maintain personnel tracking sheets for all staff.
- Assist with planning/implementation of employee pre-service and in-service training events.
- Maintain staff personnel files and perform necessary updates as needed to keep all files up to date.
- Implement and/or administer department procedures to assure that appropriate information is maintained, tracked, updated and reported as needed to comply with federal, state and local employment laws
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Early Childhood Education Administration or in a related field with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Professional demeanor
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Well organized; ability to manage multiple projects/priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze data.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Working Knowledge of Child Plus.net Reports
- Ability to be creative and use good judgment
- Ability to be a team player
