Reach Supported Living is dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling, independent lives. We are seeking an Assistant Director to provide essential support in ensuring the quality of services across multiple locations. This position involves client care coordination, administrative oversight, and staff management to maintain the highest standards of service.
Position Overview
The Assistant Director collaborates closely with the State Administrator, CEO, and COO to support clients and staff effectively. This role involves overseeing staffing, facilitating life skills training, ensuring compliance with individual support plans, and fostering strong relationships with families and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain respectful, positive relationships with clients, families, guardians, and Reach Team Members.
- Ensure 24-hour staffing by managing schedules, addressing call-outs, and arranging coverage for approved time-off requests.
- Act as the primary point of contact for staff, responding to urgent scheduling needs and coordinating with leadership when shifts cannot be filled.
- Collaborate with the COO, CEO, and State Administrator to create and distribute monthly staff meeting agendas and record minutes.
- Maintain up-to-date Individual Support Plans (IISP) aligned with Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSP).
- Oversee the timely submission of Residential Allowance Requests (RARs) and ensure proper medication management, including ordering and verifying prescriptions.
- Cultivate strong, mission-driven relationships with guardians, parents, co-workers, and the broader Reach community.
- Coordinate and provide staff training to meet performance standards, in conjunction with the COO and CEO.
- Prepare quarterly summary reports on client progress and maintain nurse-delegated care documentation.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with creating schedules and handling staffing challenges.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities.
- CPR/First Aid certification, Bloodborne Pathogens training, and crisis management training (can be completed upon hire).
- Capacity to lift up to 75 lbs. and assist clients with mobility as needed.

Schedule & Pay
- Pay: $22 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time with flexibility, including on-call duties to address emergencies and manage last-minute staffing needs. Occasional weekend, holiday, and evening availability is required.
