At Reaching & Rooted, we produce books that offer CEOs and their teams a structured approach to their business while generating awareness, passive income, and new clientele for their growing enterprises. Our mission extends beyond just creating written content; we aim to empower entrepreneurs and business leaders with the tools to share their knowledge and expertise, reclaim their time through processes, and ultimately focus on growing their businesses.

Intern Responsibilities:

Develop skills in manuscript writing and editing by: 

• Assisting in drafting and structuring book manuscripts and employee manuals 
• Ensuring consistency in voice, style, and structure across manuscript projects 
• Providing feedback and revisions to improve the clarity and coherence of long-form content

Enhance research and organizational skills by: 

• Conducting research related to client projects, industry standards, and publishing best practices 
• Organizing materials and resources to support client projects

Improve writing and storytelling abilities by: 

• Refining narrative flow and clarity in book projects 
• Developing high-quality long-form content for client manuscripts 
• Collaborating with editors to maintain consistent brand storytelling

Gain experience in proofreading and formatting by: 

• Reviewing manuscripts for grammar, style, and structural accuracy 
• Preparing content for publication, ensuring adherence to formatting guidelines

Contribute to publishing and editorial strategies by: 

• Participating in creative strategy sessions for manuscript development 
• Supporting the publishing team with content organization and editorial planning

Eligibility Requirement:

Applicants for this internship program must meet one of the following criteria:

• Must be currently enrolled in an educational institution and receiving school credit for the internship.
• Must be able to demonstrate that the internship is integrated with their coursework, enhancing their educational experience.
• Must fulfill specific educational requirements set by their institution, department, or major program of study.

Suggested Qualifications:

• Degree/profile in Publishing, Marketing, English, Communication, etc.
• Fluent English (Bilingual is a plus)
• Business-oriented and open-minded
• Good communication skills 
• Able to gain people's confidence and put them at ease  
• Able to cope with pressure 
• Flexible and adaptable

Duration, Schedule & Pay:

This will be a 16-week unpaid internship, possible end of internship bonus.

We are looking for either 1 full-time intern or 2 part-time interns (one morning, one afternoon):

• Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM EST with an hour break for lunch
• Part-time Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 1 PM or 2 PM - 6 PM EST
