Retail Store Manager

Read's Uniforms is an Asheville, NC based retailer providing uniforms, shoes, and accessories to the medical, public safety, education, hospitality, and industrial communities across 8 states in the Eastern US. We are currently searching for a Store Manager in our well established Hickory, NC location!

Our retail stores are unlike mall or "mainstream retail." Our staff supports many contract and business to business relationships in addition to our cash and carry customers. We are an "operational retail" company, offering several different types of customization (alterations/embroidery/heat press) in house. The perfect candidate will not only enjoy process, but customer service and growing the store. As a Store Partner in this location, you will earn a percentage of the Gross Profit Increase year over year in addition to base salary.

Our retail hours are 10:00-6:00 Monday through Friday. No late nights & weekends off!

The Store Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of the retail store. Some specific functions of this role are:

• Driving retail sales & promoting a positive customer experience in store
• Seeking out new customers/accounts
• Manage email communication to and from sales reps, operations staff, owners/management, and customers
• Plan, assign and execute visual merchandising changes on the retail sales floor
• Assess inventory selection/levels and provide feedback to the purchasing department based on the store's needs
• Maintain relationships with community college groups, private schools, and medical group customers & keep account information current.
