As an Outside Process Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless coordination of outside services, such as heat treat, plating, anodizing, and more. You will be responsible for maintaining a balance between client satisfaction and operational efficiency by managing components in production and at outside process vendors to meet critical due dates.
This fast-paced role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Core Work Hours - Monday through Friday: 6:30AM - 3:00PM. Individual must have willingness and flexibility to work overtime as needed based on production demands.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Outside Process Coordination:
- Work closely with the client relations, production scheduling, quality and shipping teams to optimize the coordination of outside processes.
- Monitor and track parts in production and at outside vendors to ensure timely processing and delivery.
- Determine lot sizes based on production data analysis to meet client due dates while ensuring cost efficiency.
- Communicate regularly with vendors to confirm lead times, resolve delays, and ensure quality standards are met.
Production Support:
- Collaborate with scheduling and floor leadership to support late, current, and future production activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address issues impacting client deadlines.
- Analyze inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize material flow.
Supplier Management:
- Maintain and update supplier records per AS9100 standards.
- Assist in strengthening supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of services.
- Coordinate vendor audits and quality assessments as needed.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline outside process coordination functions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
- High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is strongly desired.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to assist in collaborating effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
