What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swiss Cam Machine Operator position at Reader Precision Solutions?
Shifts Available:
1st Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm
2nd Shift: 2:45pm - 11:15pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate Tornos Swiss machines according to job specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process to ensure proper operation.
- Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on Tornos Swiss machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
- Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet all quality requirements before releasing them for further processing or shipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production quantities, and any quality issues encountered.
- Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and quality inspectors, to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
- Complete any additional duties or projects as assigned.

- Basic math, computer, and data entry skills (previous ERP system experience a plus).
- The ability to effectively use precision measuring instruments.
- Vision corrected to 20/20 for accurate inspection of parts.
