Job Summary
The Signmaker performs all tasks involving the layout, fabrication, and installation of signs, under the direction of the Lead Signage Tech. A knowledge of EFI digital technology, thermal and engraving sign making equipment is preferred. The Signmaker meets fabrication and installation deadlines, prioritizing Life Safety and Regulatory needs. Maintains a working knowledge of ADA, NFPA, and FGI requirements related to signage. Will follow the Hospital Way-Find plan design consistently at all Tower locations. Will travel to various Tower locations when needed. Responsible to provide notice to affected departments when scheduling installations. Will foster strong communication with Leads and other Facilities staff. Maintains equipment and works with manager for ordering Sign Shop supplies. The Signmaker operates the laminating machine.
