The Supervisor Client Systems Engineering collaborates with other IT teams and stakeholders and is responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating all aspects of Client Systems Engineering operations supporting the end user computing environment across the entire health system. - Ensures Client Systems Engineering team follows internal procedures and organizational policies.
- Maintains a holistic understanding of IT operations within the organization both from an IT and non-IT perspective.
- Assists in assigning daily and long-term project tasks with the team.
- Assists management with budget planning and vendor management.
- Acts as a supervisor, liaison, advisor, project manager, and technical lead on Desktop Systems Engineering related issues.
- Provides support and stands ready to assist others with the resolution or escalation of major incidents.
- Works within and guides others to follow the ITIL framework including Resource/Change/Incident/Problem/Project management and Time Entry.
- Manages scheduling, productivity & workflow for staff, and also acts as an escalation point for their direct reports.
- Maintains awareness of new/alternate technologies presenting those of potential value to management for consideration. Implements new and/or innovative systems to produce workflow efficiency gains to end users, reduce cost, increase quality and reliability, and extend central management of systems throughout the enterprise.
Qualifications
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Subject matter expert in endpoint management including knowledge in several of the following areas: operating system management/migrations, image management, application packaging and delivery, mobile device management, endpoint security, Microsoft 365, end user computing policies and management, teleconferencing and A/V, and telehealth/telemedicine.
