About Reading Power

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing one-to-one tutoring during the school day for children in preschool through 2nd grade. Our goal is to accelerate children's literacy learning and develop in them a love of reading and writing. As our Disability Application Specialist, you will be part of a team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners.

Job Summary:
The Disability Application Specialist will work closely with our staff and tutors to provide literacy support, develop program enhancements, and create ongoing training materials. This is a full-time exempt position that includes a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off. If you are passionate about education and committed to excellence, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement program enhancements to improve student outcomes and teacher confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to review assessments and analyze data, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Create and provide ongoing training for staff and tutors, focusing on best practices in literacy instruction.
  • Model Reading Power's best teaching and learning practices for staff and tutors, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in education.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in literacy instruction or program development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
