Culinary Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Culinary professional to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, with experience in fine dining and restaurant management. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As part of our culinary team, you will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and exceptional food quality.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety practices.
  • Monitor food costs and waste management to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Participate in special events or catering services as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or fine dining setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food management principles, including inventory control and food handling practices.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide excellent customer service.
  • A passion for culinary arts with a desire to innovate and create unique dishes.
  • Certification in food safety or culinary arts is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.38 - $19.09 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
