Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and exceptional food quality.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety practices.
- Monitor food costs and waste management to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Participate in special events or catering services as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or fine dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of food management principles, including inventory control and food handling practices.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide excellent customer service.
- A passion for culinary arts with a desire to innovate and create unique dishes.
- Certification in food safety or culinary arts is preferred but not required.

Pay: $18.38 - $19.09 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
