What are the responsibilities and job description for the DESE Licensed Elementary Special Education Teacher position at READS Academy?
Seeking an enthusiastic educator licensed in Special Education to teach in a therapeutic school for students with a range of emotional, behavioral and neuro-developmental disabilities.
Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills necessary.
Writing and Implementation of IEP's.
Knowledge /Experience with Curriculum Mapping, UBD's and Authentic Assessments of diverse learners.
Experience working with elementary aged students required;
Experience working with students with social and emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges required;
Willingness to attend training from the Crisis Prevention Institute: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required;
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and an ability to supervise support personnel effectively required.
Salary : $61,951 - $103,743
