What are the responsibilities and job description for the ELA and/or Moderate Disabilities Teacher - READS Academy Grades 7-12 position at READS Collaborative?
High School ELA Teacher/Moderate Disabilities Preferred ** High School ELA Teaching License PreferredSeeking an enthusiastic educator, preferably dual licensure in ELA and/or Moderate Disabilities to teach at READS Academy's Therapeutic Classroom. READS Academy, a therapeutic educational program for students with a range of emotional, neuro-developmental and learning needs. Strong classroom management and experience with differentiated instruction and project based learning, as well as implementing social emotional learning interventions. Experience with student population.
Crisis Prevention Institute Training preferred or willingness to take certification course. Writing and Implementation of IEPs. Knowledge /Experience with Curriculum Mapping and Authentic Assessments of diverse learners. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Potential for working the 2025 Extended School Year Program
