What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech and Language Pathologist/Assistant - Part Time (Flexible 2-4 days per week) position at READS Collaborative?
READS Collaborative is seeking a speech and language pathologist/speech and language pathology assistant to fulfill a longstanding position (with the potential to continue in the 2025-2026 school year) in a local high school from March through June 2025.
The position would primarily include direct and consultative speech services, including social skills groups and executive functioning support. The following outline of the role and responsibilities is intended to provide a broad overview, but is subject to change according to the needs of the school district, as required by the Superintendent of Schools.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services to students
•Adapt instructional techniques to the age and skill levels of students.
•Maintain thorough student records to document attendance, participation, and progress, ensuring confidentiality of all records.
•Use data to write students' progress notes and IEPs for students with IEPs
•Prepare lesson plans in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) and the functional abilities or needs of students.
•Establish and maintain standards of behavior to create safe, orderly, and effective environments for learning.
