ROLE PURPOSE

The Demand Generation Content Manager is responsible for the global strategy in creating, optimizing, and distributing content specifically tailored to the global higher education market and student engagement to drive growth. This role requires a strategic manager with a blend of planning, creative writing, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of digital marketing best practices, alongside a strong familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities within higher education.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create engaging and high-quality content specifically for global higher education audiences, including demand generation campaigns, video scripts, blog posts, white papers, landing pages, and other content. 
  • Work with the design team to lead the development of visuals to accompany the content such as graphics, photography, infographics, and videos, all relevant to the higher education sector.
  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of regional, account-based marketing strategies aligned with business priorities and tailored to the higher education sector to drive regional MQL targets.
  • Conduct research including market, audience, and competitor research, with a particular focus on the higher education landscape, to inform content strategy for demand generation.
  • Create and manage content calendars tailored to higher education events, academic cycles, and industry trends.
  • Strategically plan and execute content distribution for demand generation across email and other channels, ensuring content resonates with higher education professionals.
  • Create and manage email campaigns, including promotional emails, and drip campaigns, with messaging and offers relevant to higher education institutions. Utilize email marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot) and manage email lists of higher education contacts.
  • Lead in ensuring consistent brand messaging and in maintaining brand voice guidelines, with a specific focus on how the brand is perceived within the global higher education community.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

  • Minimum five years of experience in a similar role with a balance of strategic planning and execution.
  • Proven experience in content creation and marketing, with a strong understanding of the global higher education market.
  • Superior communication skills to lead conversations and strategically work with cross-functional teams to meet our demand generation goals.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to create compelling content for higher education audiences.
  • Experience in email marketing, with the ability to create campaigns that resonate with higher education institutions.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools and project management software.
  • Knowledge of branding and the development of and consistency with brand voice.
  • Ability to adapt to emerging trends and technologies in both marketing and higher education.
  • Excellent time management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

Although this role is 100% remote, the person in this position should be expected to travel for certain customer / industry / company events and engagements as necessary.
