The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining and improving our Occupational Health and Safety strategies, goals, and objectives. This role ensures compliance with all OSHA standards and regulations and aligns our Safety and Health culture with Ready Foods' mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and lead the execution of Ready Foods' Safety and Health Programs to ensure OSHA regulatory compliance throughout our facilities2.
- Provide leadership and guidance in the continuous improvement of Ready Foods' Safety Culture.
- Ensure OSHA regulatory and site-specific safety training requirements are met.
- Develop, maintain, and improve Occupational Safety and Health Programs.
- Create and implement safety policies and procedures for the facility.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Track and report on safety issues and statistics.
- Develop Safety Committee members and hold monthly meetings.
- Provide training and guidance on Safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Partner with the Plant Manager to evaluate work practices, procedures, and facilities to ensure safe and legally compliant working conditions.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety.
- Identify criteria required for training that meets OSHA standards.
- Assist in the development of safety training material for annually required safety training.
- Provide safety training in the event of an incident as part of the corrective action process.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in a safety supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
