Key Responsibilities

Sustainability Project Management

• Strong collaboration with engineering and other departments, to create a long-term, non-reactive strategy to be a responsible business and minimize risk.
• Manage that strategy across a cross-functional team, bringing other people into the vision.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve water and energy efficiency, working with Engineering to implement.
• Identify and manage waste reduction initiatives across all operations, working with Operations to implement.
• Identify and secure funding opportunities for sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
• Submit required data to governing agencies and provide metrics for customers.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Continuously seek out new technologies and methods to enhance sustainability efforts.
• Lead initiatives to evaluate innovative sustainability solutions.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement improvements.
  
  

Employee Empowerment and Engagement

• Create programs to educate and engage employees in sustainability practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in sustainability efforts.
• Grow the Green Team to achieve sustainability goals.
  
  

Community

• Authentically promote diversity and inclusion within the company and community.
• Seek community involvement opportunities and partnerships that support mutual rewarding outcomes.
  
  

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Monitor and report on sustainability metrics, including water and energy usage, waste reduction, and community impact.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on sustainability progress.
  
  

Innovation And Technology Trends In Food Manufacturing

• Stay abreast of the latest trends in food manufacturing to address efficiency and waste.
• Leverage technology to enhance project management and data analysis.
• Maintain a good understanding of food regulations and standards.
  
  

Problem Solving And Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate project risks and oversee any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize risks and find efficiencies in project execution.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to address challenges and ensure project success.

• Commitment to professional development and career growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, or a related field.
