Summary:
The Office & Program Assistant is accountable for providing administrative support to the Manager of Business Services and Coordinator of Kindergarten Readiness Camp to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the program.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
· Provide support with a variety of administrative activities and related task, such as, print and electronic KRC newsletters, requesting supplies and KRC inventory management.
· Assist with coordination of and preparation for program related events and trainings.
· Support application and enrollment processes for students and families engaging in Ready for School programing and services.
· Maintain a positive working environment throughout the organization.
· Assist with data collection and management of data
· Assist with organization of weekly curriculum tubs
· Assist in classrooms
· Provide support to Coordinator of Kindergarten Readiness Camp and Manager of Business Services
· Office filing, printing, copying
· Translate documents
· Other office responsibilities as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Reporting structure: Reports to Manager of Business Services
Qualifications and Experience:
· Commitment to Ready for School mission and values.
· 2-3 years of experience in an administrative position preferred
Required Education:
· High school diploma or GED
Required Skills:
· Experience in Microsoft and Google Suites
· Ability to be diligently solve problems with remaining detail-oriented
· Experience with file management; digital and paper
· Personable with top-tier, professional customer service skills
· Ability to ask questions and seek information when needed
Preferred Skills:
· Spanish fluency, spoken and written
Position Specifics:
Temporary employment with some required time in the business office located in Holland, Michigan and travel within local community- primarily to West Elementary School and Great Lakes Elementary School

â Physical Demands:
o While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
o Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, copy machine, computer printer and must have the ability to use hands to handle, control or feel objects or controls and reach with hands and arms.
o Constantly communicate and exchange information with team members and must be able to effectively communicate correct information with vendors.
o Read/comprehend, write, communicate orally, reasoning and analytical abilities, and mental flexibility.
o Occasionally will move objects up to 25 pounds.
o Occasionally climb stairs, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach above shoulder to access materials and/or documentation.
o Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to compare and distinguish accounting and administrative data.
o Hearing ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking level with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.
â Work Environment:
o While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to work on site and remotely.
o Position may involve extended work hours for committee meetings and special events/programs.
o The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
TRAVEL: This position requires minimal travel within a 10 mile radius of Ready for School’s office located in Holland, Michigan. Maintain a valid Driver’s license. Must have access to a car or be able to transport materials to and from meetings and special events/programs.
