Reports to: Finance Manager
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting key metrics of the business. This role will primarily support the various department leaders across the organization as well as the company’s broader finance function. The successful candidate must be able to interpret data and understand connections. The ability to think in terms of cost accounting and reporting are essential. Candidates must consider themselves super-users in Excel.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and update daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards for various business units (e.g. sales, logistics, operations, purchasing)
- Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes
- Assist with monthly and quarterly corporate reporting requirements
- Assemble monthly financial outputs for monthly business unit meetings
- Maintain accurate and organized databases of operational and financial metrics
- Perform other ad-hoc projects for operations and finance teams as needed
Specific Duties/Projects:
- Weekly sales reports
- Weekly Plant KPI Reports (Yields, Volume, Labor)
- Weekly Piecework Calculation
- Daily production profitability reporting
- Monthly Inventory Reporting
- Compiling month-end financial summaries to each business unit
- Assist with building templates for annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes
- Ad hoc sales pricing requests for new products
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred
- Excel super user
- Basic Excel usage is not adequate.
- Familiarity with ERP/Database systems
- Basic understanding of financial statements
- Ability to summarize data and/or reports into actionable items for business leaders in the company
- Excellent accuracy of data compilation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Work Environment:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
