Job Title: Kids Yoga, Dance and Movement Teacher
We are looking to expand our amazing team of highly trained experts to continue to meet the needs of our growing community. We are hiring subs and regularly scheduled teachers.
Duties:
- Conduct yoga, dance, or movement classes for children (and sometimes their parents), focusing on developing gross-motor skills, creativity, turn-taking, and calming breathing techniques.
- Provide guidance and support to kids and their parents, offering accessible and engaging instruction via movement games, yoga or dance fundamentals, and bonding activities.
- Demonstrate and teach various yoga poses and sequences, and dance moves, ensuring participants understand and can safely perform them.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants!
- Stay up-to-date with current research in the field of child development as it relates to yoga, dance, and age appropriate physical activities.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of yoga and/or dance principles, techniques, and practices as they apply to young children .
- Excellent verbal communication and class management skills to effectively explain and demonstrate in age appropriate ways.
- Ability to provide clear instructions and guidance to participants of varying skill levels.
- Patience and empathy to work with children of various maturity levels, many who may be new to yoga or dance.
- Strong interpersonal skills to create a positive and supportive class environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching style to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Training specific to teaching children yoga, dance, or movement is REQUIRED. Experience in other creative practices can also be beneficial.
Additional Requirements: Adult/Pediatric First Aid CPR certification, Personal Liability Insurance, Clear background check

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
