What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Non-Profit Foundation position at READY®?
Ready® Foundation Overview
The Ready® Foundation was founded by Ready® Founder and CEO, Pat Cavanaugh, to expand the outreach of Ready’s® core DNA of assisting people in all walks of life to thrive, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals through motivational, educational, and philanthropic programming.
An IRS 501c(3) charitable organization, The Ready® Foundation is focused on a multi-pronged community service model, identifying people of all ages and helping them pursue and achieve their athletic, nutritional, or other personal goals, as well as responding to necessitated food and nutritional requests from persons or organizations in need through product donations. The Foundation uses its financial, educational, and product resources in conjunction with its partners and advocates, to serve less fortunate communities and people experiencing challenging circumstances.
A key Foundation initiative includes mentoring young athletes through goal setting mentality and nutritional education. It has developed a goal setting and achievement curriculum that has successfully been implemented in both athletic team and classroom environments. The Foundation is also focused on hosting Ready® in the Community events throughout the year, including activities with our partner, Susan G. Komen, as well as AD99 Solutions Foundation, founded by Ready® co-owner, Aaron Donald. Ready® in the Community events also include volunteer activities with senior communities, youth populations, and an annual holiday toy drive.
The Ready® Foundation is also focused on several key initiatives, centered around people, brand, and community, including providing mentoring to youth athletes, providing grants to K-12 schools across the country, providing Ready® products and nutritional literature to areas of high food scarcity, goal setting mentality education, and more.
The future goal of The Ready® Foundation is to scale up all these endeavors through further partnerships and donation enterprises to expand the Foundation’s national footprint, positively affecting the lives of greater groups of people that could benefit from the programming and product resources of the Foundation.
