POSITION SUMMARY :
The Operations and Customer Fulfillment Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless integration of customer service, production scheduling, logistics, and shipping operations to achieve customer satisfaction and operational excellence. This role works collaboratively with the Manager of Plant Operations to optimize workflows, align resources, and meet delivery commitments. By driving efficiency through strategic use of ERP systems and continuous improvement initiatives, the Operations and Customer Fulfillment Manager plays a key role in supporting ReadyOne Industries' mission and strategic objectives within the corrugated division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Customer Fulfillment and Satisfaction
- Lead the customer service team to deliver high standards of responsiveness, professionalism, and effective communication with customers.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of sales orders and provide regular updates to customers on order status.
- Resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly to maintain satisfaction and build strong relationships.
Production Scheduling and Coordination
Develop and manage production schedules in collaboration with the Manager of Plant Operations to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization.Balance workload across production lines to maximize efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure materials availability.Shipping and Logistics Management
Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods.Streamline logistics workflows to minimize delays and optimize costs.Establish and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers to enhance transportation efficiency.ERP System Management and Data Accuracy
Oversee the implementation and utilization of the EPICOR ERP system, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data input and reporting.Train staff on ERP processes and monitor system performance to support operational goals.Leverage ERP data to provide actionable insights for improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
Work closely with the Manager of Plant Operations to align production capabilities with customer requirements.Identify areas for improvement in operational processes and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service quality.Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability across teams.Team Leadership and Development
Supervise and mentor team members across customer service, logistics, and scheduling functions.Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.Recruit and retain skilled personnel to maintain high levels of team performance.Qualifications
MIMIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Education :
Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.Experience :
5 years of experience in customer service, production scheduling, or operations management, preferably in the corrugated or packaging industry.Specific Skills :
Strong proficiency with ERP systems (EPICOR preferred).Knowledge of logistics and production scheduling practices.Other Skills :
Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.Ability to work collaboratively across teams to achieve shared goals.PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment.Occasional movement within the production facility to collaborate with operations teams.WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Primarily office-based, with regular visits to the production floor to coordinate activities and monitor operations.Some travel may be required to meet with vendors or customers as needed.
