Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician in Tulare County. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality, safety, and efficiency of our facilities. This role requires understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the processes related to the mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems throughout the facility.
- Performs shut-down, start-ups and cleaning equipment
- Performs preventative building maintenance duties and repairs including routine plumbing repairs and routine electrical repairs
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Work in a team, assist other maintenance technicians with tasks / projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
Qualifications and skills
- 2- 3 years in Industrial maintenance and repair for conveyors, bin dumps, roasters, color sorters, etc.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and plumbing
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual candidates are a plus
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
- Skilled in using hand and power tools and ability to communicate both orally and in writing
