Patient Services Specialist - Front Office
The Patient Services Specialist front office position is responsible for welcoming patients setting appointments, and checking patients in and out, while maximizing the overall patient experience. Salary based on experience.
DUTIES:
• Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
• Optimize patient satisfaction, time management by checking in the patient in a timely fashion
• Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating demographic and financial information
• Schedule future patient appointments at the end of the visit
• Maintain open communication with pre-cert team regarding orders for any diagnostic testing patients may need.
• Drive improved response to timely answering of incoming phone calls, minimizing “roll-over” and quickly addressing needs of caller.

• Excellent communication skills and writing skills
• Reliable, professional, courteous and patient. Treat all patients and team members with respect and dignity
• Maintain positive organizational relationships, keeping a positive attitude
• Prior knowledge or eClinicalWorks is a plus.
• Clinical knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology
• Working knowledge of computers, fax, copiers and other technology
• Available to work at various locations, when needed
• Strong administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Prior medical front office experience is a plus.
• Effective in conflict resolution, helping others to understand issues and accept changes
• Ability to multitask in busy Reagan Medical Center environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
