Teacher Assistant

Job Overview
We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our educators in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in various educational settings, including preschool, daycare, and special education. This role is essential in fostering childhood development and ensuring each child receives the attention and guidance needed to thrive. We are a Chirstian based education facility and the candidate will assist in teaching Biblical principles.

Duties

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of students.
• Support classroom management by helping to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Provide individualized attention to students, including those with special needs, to promote their academic and social development.
• Engage with students during activities, encouraging participation and fostering a love for learning.
• Help supervise children during playtime, meals, and transitions between activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with teachers regarding student progress and behavior management strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and resources for classroom activities.

Requirements

• Experience working with students in school is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to provide toddler care and support for children with special education needs.
• First aid certification is a plus but not required at the time of application.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
• A passion for education and commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of students throughout the day.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
