Technical Communications Specialist
Overview
We are looking for a Technical Communications Specialist to join our team and help us create clear and engaging presentations, reports, and documents for our internal customers, executives, and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality technical communications decks, to include charts, graphs, diagrams, and other visual aids, that convey complex information in a simple and effective way.
You will work closely with our Functional Team Leaders, technical SME’s, and executives to understand project objectives, scope, deliverables , operational activities & contributions ,and translate them into compelling and concise communications materials.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to gather, analyze, and organize information for various projects and initiatives.
Create and maintain technical communications decks, to include charts, graphs, and other visual aids, that align with the project goals, audience, and branding guidelines.
Ensure that the technical communications decks are accurate, clear, concise, consistent, and engaging, and follow the best practices of technical writing and visual design.
Review and edit the technical communications decks for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and tone, and ensure that they meet the quality standards and expectations of the clients and stakeholders.
Manage and update the technical communications decks as needed, and ensure that they are properly stored and archived.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the technical communications processes and tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Information Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of experience in creating technical communications decks, to include charts, graphs, and other visual aids, for various audiences and purposes.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software and tools to create and edit technical communications materials.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of and interest in the latest trends and best practices in technical communication and visual design.
