REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.
Responsibilities
CAPITAL PROCUREMENT MANAGER
As the new Capital Procurement Manager for REAL ALLOY, you will establish and operate a professional and structured capital projects procurement process.
Core Accountabilities
- Work on major capital project procurement activities, operating within federal government procurement requirements.
- Introduce professional procurement practices
- Analyze and process purchasing data
- Identify and monitor KPIs
- Process tenders and all the necessary required documentation
- Deliver best cost solutions
- Lead negotiations for all major project contracts
- Finalize general agreements
- Project manage supplier implementation process
- Act as point of contact for any commercial topics for all subject areas of the project
- Lead and coordinate purchasing activities with other functions (i.e. Engineering, Legal, etc.)
Qualifications
Capital Procurement Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in business-related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of strategic purchasing experience.
- Working knowledge and experience in federally funded capital projects.
- Working knowledge around OEM purchasing contracts and contract management.
- Working knowledge of the procurement lifecycle, negotiations, and contract management of construction services contract.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplined team delivering results.
- Ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret data and documents such as reports and correspondence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
- Ability to travel at least 25% of time.
