Overview
REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.
Responsibilities
Looking to add to our Maintenance team, a solid Welder/Maintenance Technician to work heavy fabrication on industrial components such as gear boxes, electric motors, VFDs, forklifts and wheel loaders. The Welder/Maintenance Technician must have strong welding skills and be proficient in both mig and stick, and be able to set up and run an oxy/acetylene cutting torch as well as a plasma cutter. A mechanical aptitude is a must and experience working on manufacturing equipment strongly preferred.
1st Shift works 7am-3:30pm. On call 1 out of every 5 weeks. Starting pay around $25/hour with a 90 day bump based on skills confirmation.
To service and maintain all equipment, including but not limited to, powered industrial equipment, mobile equipment, furnace combustion systems, plumbing, electrical, rotary furnaces, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, chain drives and bag house emission equipment, in a manner that ensures quality production at a minimal cost in a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to reprioritize job tasks as required
- Flexibility to work overtime and be on-call as needed
- 3 years’ work experience in a trade profession or industrial maintenance
- Willingness to learn new skills through ongoing training and on the job teachings
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Willing to work at elevated heights on occasion
- Understand and interpret prints
