COMPENSATION RANGE : $14.00-$15.00 / hour based upon experience.
THE COMPANY : Real Equity Management (REM) is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue!
EVENT MANAGEMENT INTERN POSITION : We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable individual to join our team as a part-time Event Management Assistant. This role is a direct assistant to the Events Director and will support various aspects of event planning and management. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with a variety of tasks that may change day-to-day, handle repetitive tasks with accuracy, and possess strong communication skills to ensure that client events are executed smoothly.
EVENT MANAGEMENT INTERN JOB DUTIES :
- Event Bookings : Assist with the initial booking process by gathering client information and event details. Ensure all event inquiries are documented and organized.
- Pricing and Contracts : Collaborate with the Events Director to provide clients with accurate pricing information for their event. Draft and send contracts to clients, ensuring timely signatures and documentation.
- Client Communication : Communicate with clients via email, phone, or in person to collect necessary event details, answer questions, and address any concerns. Keep organized records of all communications.
- Event Details Coordination : Collect and verify event-specific information such as dates, times, guest count, equipment, and special requests. Ensure all details are documented for smooth execution.
- Liaison with Onsite Staff : Work closely with the onsite team to ensure event details are communicated clearly and understood. Provide all necessary instructions to ensure the event is executed without issues.
- Outbound Calls : Make outbound calls to confirm event details, follow up with clients, and assist with any last-minute adjustments.
- Administrative Support : Perform general clerical tasks such as data entry, maintaining event schedules, and organizing event documentation.
- Assisting Events Team : Assist with various duties such as distributing flyers to local companies, gaining proficiency in our event management software to enhance efficiency and provide support for event coordination, conducting market research on competitors to help identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in our offerings, etc.
