VPG is thrilled to announce an opening for a Leasing Specialist to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will play a vital part in showcasing apartments to potential renters, leasing units to qualified applicants, renewing leases with current tenants, and carrying out managerial duties related to the property as directed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet visitors, prospective renters, and current residents
- Provide potential tenants with brochures, information, and tours of facilities and available units.
- Consult with prospective tenants to understand their requirements and budgets, and match these needs with available properties.
- Ensure that available and model apartments are clean and well-maintained.
- Conduct background and credit checks and verify other references as directed by the Property Manager.
- Prepare leases for the Property Manager's review and approval; obtain signatures from management and tenants.
- Coordinate move-in dates, materials, and processes.
- Prepare move-in materials.
- Create, develop, and maintain a waitlist as needed.
- Inspect the property daily to ensure it is neat, tidy, attractive, and in good repair.
- Assist with recordkeeping, filing, bookkeeping, and paperwork as required.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract renters.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Outgoing and friendly attitude with the ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
- Excellent interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Real estate sales license preferred.
- At least three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Pay: $15.53 - $23.00 per hour
