Overview:
We are a fast-paced, dynamic commercial property management company seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is critical to the financial health of our business and requires experience in handling complex accounting for multiple commercial properties, including Triple Net (NNN) expense reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple commercial properties
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for ownership and management
- Manage tenant billing, rent collections, and security deposit accounts
- Conduct annual CAM/NNN expense reconciliations and tenant bill-backs
- Collaborate with property managers and vendors to resolve billing issues and manage budgets
- Assist with budget preparation and year-end audit packages
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures
- Maintain filing systems for leases, insurance certificates, and vendor contracts
Qualifications:
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in commercial property management
- Required: Proven experience with NNN reconciliation
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, AppFolio, Yardi, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to team work
