Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Manager Assistant to support our property management team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations, coordinating tenant relations, and ensuring the smooth management of residential and commercial properties. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to property management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of residential and commercial properties.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, maintenance requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs by liaising with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Help prepare and manage lease agreements, renewals, and tenant move-in/move-out processes.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, rent payments, and property expenses.
- Assist in rent collection efforts, issue reminders, and follow up on late payments as necessary.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Assist in marketing available rental units and scheduling property showings.
- Support budgeting, financial reporting, and expense tracking as required.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Assist in filing for evictions, preparing necessary documentation, and coordinating with legal professionals as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred).
- Prior experience in property management, real estate, or customer service is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software such as Rent Manager (preferred).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work independently.
- Familiarity with local housing laws and regulations is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
Work Environment:
This position may require attending meetings, and working outside standard office hours based on business needs.
