Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our property management activities, ensuring that all tasks are handled efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of property management practices and will be the direct assistant to the Regional Property Manager.
Duties
- Assist in the management of residential properties, ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies.
- Handle tenant inquiries and concerns with professionalism, employing effective conflict management strategies.
- Perform data entry tasks related to tenant applications, leases, and maintenance requests using property management software Appfolio.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions and property conditions, including documentation for Section 8 and Housing programs.
- Support the leasing process by conducting showings, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
- Uphold legal administrative responsibilities by ensuring adherence to local housing laws and State regulations.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when communicating with Owners, tenants, vendors, and prospective residents.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from Regional Manager to accomplish objectives
Experience
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs and State rental regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in data entry and record keeping is essential for maintaining accurate tenant files.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of real estate administrative processes will be beneficial in this role.
