We provide training in all things property management maintenance and customer service, but we expect you to bring the drive to run the maintenance department semi-autonomously.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Team Lead
- Manage Maintenance Department Performance – As the head of maintenance operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the team, including setting key performance indicators, maintenance department budget and managing the team to achieve them.
- Personnel Hiring & Development – You will help determine who to hire, and you will coach and mentor team members to higher levels of performance.
- The Buck Stops With You – You will be responsible for handling issues with team members, customers, and owners if they cannot be addressed by the team.
- Process Improvements – You will find opportunities to improve the maintenance business protocols to deliver greater employee and customer satisfaction.
- Client Relations – You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with our Investors and ensuring that they are satisfied with our work.
- Customer Service – As a leading team member, we want you to take pride in your appearance and how you interact with Investors and Residents. A smile is part of the uniform.
Job Requirements for the Maintenance Team Lead
Preferred experience for the position includes:
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team.
- Experience in maintenance and/or a trade craft (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry, etc.).
- Familiarity with residential real estate investing and/or property management.
- Competency in navigating and managing a profit & loss (P&L) statement.
- Experience in customer relationship management.
- Some college preferred but required for exceptional candidates.
Benefits & Pay
Compensation for the Maintenance Technician position is a base pay of $25 - $30 per hour [plus an incentive structure based on maintenance department net profits.]

- 40 hours PTO per calendar year, which starts accumulating on the first day of full-time (40 hours/week) employment at 1.67 hours per pay period.
